Draft Magazine Feed: We’re buying a beer for… your friend in finance

Last week, the only thing more chaotic than the stock market was the emotions of those who worked in the finance sector. We’d imagine stress levels reached an all-time high sometime around last Sunday night and, unlike the market, kept going up throughout the week.

But you know what? They lived through it, jobs intact (most of them, anyway). Wall Street did not collapse. (Yet.) The country did not fall into horrendous financial ruin. (Yet.) The world did not end. (Yet.) And now those who remain gainfully employed have returned to work knowing full well it’s going to be another insane week. The masters of the universe aren’t through seeing their worlds turned upside down.

So take them out tonight and buy them a beer. After all, who knows if they’ll be able to afford one this time next week.
