Thomas was born in Wales, but wrote all of his poems in English. He was a lifelong beer drinker, though developed a taste for hard <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/wales\/arts\/sites\/dylan_thomas\/pages\/alcohol.shtml\">alcohol<\/a> later in his life.
