\"\"<\/a>Things we learned while listening to Nico Freccia (Chief Watermelon Officer) and Shaun O’Sullivan (Chief Hop Head) of San Francisco’s 21st Amendment Brewery discuss the canned versions of their best-selling “Brew Free! or Die” IPA and “Hell or High Watermelon” wheat beer during an Internet “WeBEERnar” yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n

  • There is no better way to make your friends insane with jealous than to tell them a brewery just Fedexed you two, 12-ounce cans of beer.<\/li>\n
  • There is literally no end to the amount of “can” puns the pair of brewers can make.<\/li>\n
  • Reasons why cans are better: They are greener, the beer tastes better, and “because we can.” (See what we mean about the can puns?)<\/li>\n
  • The Watermelon Wheat, made with fresh watermelon, is an excellent summer beer, but we wouldn’t want to drink more then one or two at a time.<\/li>\n
  • The IPA, on the other hand, is amazing. Before we opened it, Shuan explained, “You take your first sip and you’re like, ‘Whoa.’” We would completely agree. That said, at 7.0 percent ABV we might not be able to drink that many more than two before we ended up wandering aimlessly around The Haight.<\/li>\n
  • Currently, the beers are available only in California and Alaska, but the brewery is hoping to expand to warm weather locations in the next year or so.<\/li>\n
  • There might be something to this craft beer in a can thing.<\/li>\n
