{"id":6705,"date":"2008-10-16T08:49:15","date_gmt":"2008-10-16T15:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.draftmag.com\/?p=625"},"modified":"2008-10-16T08:49:15","modified_gmt":"2008-10-16T15:49:15","slug":"draft-magazine-feed-in-which-we-drink-craft-beer-from-a-can-while-participating-in-an-online-conference-call-about-said-beer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.browbrew.com\/?p=6705","title":{"rendered":"Draft Magazine Feed: In which we drink craft beer from a can while participating in an online conference call about said beer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.draftmag.com\/files\/2008\/10\/amendment101608.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.draftmag.com\/files\/2008\/10\/amendment101608.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>Things we learned while listening to Nico Freccia (Chief Watermelon Officer) and Shaun O&#8217;Sullivan (Chief Hop Head) of San Francisco&#8217;s 21st Amendment Brewery discuss the canned versions of their best-selling &#8220;Brew Free! or Die&#8221; IPA and &#8220;Hell or High Watermelon&#8221; wheat beer during an Internet &#8220;WeBEERnar&#8221; yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n<li> There is no better way to make your friends insane with jealous than to tell them a brewery just Fedexed you two, 12-ounce cans of beer.<\/li>\n<li> There is literally no end to the amount of &#8220;can&#8221; puns the pair of brewers can make.<\/li>\n<li> Reasons why cans are better: They are greener, the beer tastes better, and &#8220;because we can.&#8221; (See what we mean about the can puns?)<\/li>\n<li> The Watermelon Wheat, made with fresh watermelon, is an excellent summer beer, but we wouldn&#8217;t want to drink more then one or two at a time.<\/li>\n<li> The IPA, on the other hand, is amazing. Before we opened it, Shuan explained, &#8220;You take your first sip and you&#8217;re like, &#8216;Whoa.&#8217;&#8221; We would completely agree.
