{"id":6579,"date":"2008-10-14T11:02:25","date_gmt":"2008-10-14T18:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.siouxcityjournal.com\/blogs\/brew\/?p=800"},"modified":"2008-10-14T11:02:25","modified_gmt":"2008-10-14T18:02:25","slug":"sioux-brew-millercoors-sales-up-7-percent-in-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.browbrew.com\/?p=6579","title":{"rendered":"Sioux Brew: MillerCoors sales up .7 percent in quarter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Date: 10\/14\/2008 12:57 PM<\/p>\n<p>By EMILY FREDRIX<br \/>\nAP Business Writer<\/p>\n<p>MILWAUKEE (AP) &#8211; MillerCoors&#8217; sales to retailers rose less than 1 percent in the latest quarter, as a jump in Coors Light sales helped buffer a drop in flagship brand Miller Lite, said SABMiller PLC on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Crafts and imports rose 5 percent in the period ending Sept. 30 compared to the previous year, said SABMiller, which operates the MillerCoors joint venture with Molson Coors Brewing Co.<\/p>\n<p>But the brewer said lime-flavored Miller Chill posted a significant drop due to what SABMiller called &#8220;aggressive competition&#8221; in the segment &#8211; which now has Anheuser-Busch Cos.
